Vintage Gibson 1962 DOUBLE BLACK "Patent Number" PAF pickup
This is a Killer early 1962 "Patent Number" PAF
One of two we have available, this PAF's matched mate is available in our other listings!
We had a few 1959 long magnets in the shop and have upgraded this pickup with a true 50's 2.5" PAF magnet.  This is now identical to a 1959 PAF in every aspect save the print on the sticker!
Nice and hot at 7.65k !!
Great for neck or bridge application!
This PAF is in incredible example, great cosmetic condition.

This is a Standard Spaced PAF (NOT archtop spaced)
This is a "first generation" Patent Number PAF - which is IDENTICAL to an early 60's PAF pickup.
These were made when Gibson was making the transition from the "Patent Applied For" sticker to the "Patent Number" Sticker.... often times guitars from 1962/1963 will have one of each.   The construction of these pickups are identical.
The ONLY difference is the sticker. A fantastic way to get into real deal 50's PAF tone for thousands less than a 1959 PAF!
