  • Condition: Excellent, clean, no smells. The wool is thinking on one cuff and the interlayer is showing, could be darned or patched - or left as is, does not feel fragile. One button hole is a tiny bit looser, could also be darned with a stitch or two to tighten. Beautiful condition otherwise.

    Description

    Stunning felted wool "Summit Needled Custom Construction" 1960s McGregor shirt jacket.  Fluffy soft wool, may have been washed a few times but not pilly or wonky, still has nice shape.  Beautiful warn blue color. Awesome hand-needled top-stitching at pockets and around collar, and  yoke top stitching at back under-collar.  Made in USA!  Such an heirloom piece.  This was likely a mens Small (more like men's XS in modern sizing) but looks great slightly oversized on a womens small as a light jacket.  Or will fit a womens M as a shirt.
