POPE FRANCIS FIRST COMMEMORATIVE MINT GENUINE HALF DOLLARS
From September 22-27, 2015, Pope Francis made his first papal visit
to the United States. The first stop was Washington, D.C., where Francis
became the first pope to address a joint session of the U.S. Congress.
Francis then traveled to New York City for an address to the United Nations
on September 25. The pope's U.S. visit concluded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
where he attended the World Meeting of Families and celebrated an outdoor Mass
on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway before departing on September 27.
