Very fine gem quality slightly pinkish orange malaia (Malaya) garnet from Lindi Tanzania.  Exquisitely cut by Troy Richardson.  Gem measures 7.57x6.38x5.57 in a shield shape and is eyeclean with an obvious colorless feather at the girdle under 10x magnificaTION.  Medium tone with strong saturation. Hand shots show gem under fluorescent, shaded and direct natural light.
