Rare Early Production model - Very low serial number - 001781.
This electric bass is in excellent condition. Current owner’s father purchased directly from Ampeg in 1965 (first year of manufacture) - he was a professional musician and member of Local 802 Musicians Union NYC and Local 47 Los Angeles. Has a removable Ampeg
shoulder harness which Ampeg built for him and an original telescoping ‘built in’ pole to raise it up an extra 22 inches. This cello-sized body is also fitted with a solid maple neck and ebony fingerboard, for the traditional playability of an upright bass, but packed into a smaller package.   Ampeg baby bass was made in 1965, year of first manufacture - from 1965-1969, serial numbers ran to 092000. Has been in hard case storage for 20 years - in excellent condition. It has minor rubbing on the bottom of the neck and on the shoulder harness, and a few small scrapes on top of scroll. The body of the bass is in beautiful condition.  Overall length is 60", 18" wide at lower bout, 3.5" deep.  The bass is located in southern California and can be locally picked up.
Comes with custom Anvil style travel/storage case made by A&S Flight and Road Case Co. for safe road and air transport/storage. Case measures 70 1/4" High X 15" Deep X 22 1∕2" Wide.
