    1969/1970 Gibson SG Pickguard
    Early Norlin SG Standard
    Original 1969/1970 Gibson SG Standard B/W/B/W/B pickguard. It came from an SG standard in which the original owner added a slanted Fender single-coil pickup to which he routed the pickguard. The route was done professionally by a Hollywood luthier and is dead-center- allowing for the area to be cut out for a middle humbucker should its new owner want to use this to complete the SG Custom 3-pickup layout. Besides the added route- the pickguard is in pretty good shape for its age, with the typical plastic cracking around the screw areas (see close-up pictures).
