    Description

This listing is of a historic 1931 50 Centavos coin of Honduras. First date of this type. Only 500,000 minted! These coins are often referred to in Honduras as tostones. (50 cent coins in some other Latin American countries are called that as well.) In terms of face value, 1 toston = 1/2 Lempira. These coins are historic and very interesting in that they were struck in .900 fine silver at the Philadelphia location of US Mint for the Republic of Honduras and circulated along with comparable US coinage in the country. Please review pictures and item description very carefully. What you see is what you will receive.
