Dark Victory Armory Presents the Superior 1 1/2" Wide Medieval SWORD Ring Belt
Description:
This sturdy 10-11 oz drum dyed chestnut bridle or latigo black leather belt is the same premium product that we've made for thousands of SCA and Ren-Faire participants over several decades. But note that this model is a SWORD BELT that is sold in two parts so that it can be used to secure a sword scabbard. This enhancement is achieved by including a keeper onto each section so that it can be cinched. It is sealed the full length on all sides to prevent die transfer onto your attire. It measures 1 1/2" wide and your choice of length so that it can be knotted in Half Windsor/SCA fashion. It comes complete with an appropriately sized Nickle Steel, Brass, or Engraved Stainless O-ring for closure. Built for long life and with serious quality, it will exceed your expectations.

Your choice of Black Latigo or Chestnut Brown Bridle Leather.
Length:
A ring belt made for a typical male of standard build is 72" but we make each belt to order for you and have longer and shorter straps on hand. Just ask, and we'll make it happen.  Please be careful and don't make it too small for you. The formula is Waist Circumference + 14 inches (for the knot) + about how long you'll want the tail.
Finished end:
Square cut, English V, rounded cut, or diagonal cut. We'll trim the end with a diagonal cut unless you tell us otherwise.
Width:
This belt is 1 1/2" inch wide. If you'd prefer something else please visit our other auctions for a diverse selection or send a message.
Left side/Right Side:
This sword belt can be worn on either side. The angle of the scabbard is some guided by where the cinch is worn.
Offset from Ring:
We offset the scabbard cinch by 12 inches from the main ring so that the sword carriage hangs off the hip. We think that is an optimal geometry, but we will be happy to build the belt with any offset that you prefer.
Dagger included?  Nope.  I lashed this belt onto my own dagger for the photo, but it's not included. If you'd like one very similar reach out to me and we can talk.
Photographs: You may have noticed that on some of the variations of leather and metal there is a ring belt shown. This is because we take pictures of items in each variation as it is requested by customers. So while there is just a ring belt shown, be assured that you will receive a fully functional sword belt as described in this listing.

Handling time:
We generally ship in just a few days, but we also attend a large event called The Pennsic War that takes us away from the workshop for several weeks every July/August. We continue to accept orders while we are gone and will send orders out within a few days of returning home. Watch for the away message and note the handling time. Please let us know if you are in urgent need by a specific date and we'll do our very best to accommodate your schedule.
